Information For Authors

The American Journal of Forensic Psychology (AJFP) welcomes the submission of original manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of research and professional practice in forensic psychology.

Interested in submitting to this journal? We recommend that you review the About the Journal page for the journal's section policies, as well as the Author Guidelines. Authors need to register with the journal prior to submitting or, if already registered, can simply log in and begin the five-step process.

We invite submissions from scholars, practitioners, and researchers working in areas related to psychology and the law, including criminal behavior, forensic assessment, legal decision-making, correctional psychology, and mental health within the justice system.

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and relevance to the field. Authors should ensure that their submissions are original, not previously published, and not under consideration by another journal.

Manuscripts should follow appropriate academic standards, include proper citations, and clearly present research findings or theoretical contributions. Detailed submission guidelines and formatting requirements are available on the journal website.

Authors can submit their manuscripts through the online submission system available at:
